Mere minutes after the release of Dashboard, a college student named Ben realized that this powerful framework could be used to see into the future. After several weeks during which he may not have slept, Ben gave the world iCal Events. iCal Events is a sleek, resizable Dashboard widget that shows users a list of upcoming events they’ve entered into Apple’s iCal.

News Reader is the second of the two dashboard widgets originally developed by Ben. It provides users with a convenient, one-touch way of reading the RSS feeds of their favorite news sources. It supports an unlimited number of news feeds without having to muck around with any confusing RSS aggregators.
